Privacy policy
This policy explains what BNX Technologies LLC collects when you use Life-Change Playbooks, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the public website and the playbook app behind it.
Who we are
Life-Change Playbooks is operated by BNX Technologies LLC, Medina, Ohio. Write to admin@bnx-nextgen.com with any privacy question or request.
What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Account details: your name, email address, and the password you set, which is stored in a form nobody can read back.
- Estate answers: the facts you enter about a person who has died or about your own planning, such as names, dates, county, marital and family details, assets, benefits, and any notes you keep.
- Your work in the app: tasks checked off, documents gathered, notification contacts, call logs, and notes.
- Billing details: when you buy a playbook, our payment provider takes the card payment. We receive the confirmation and the last few digits of the card, never the full number.
- Technical data: the pages you open in the app, and standard log information such as IP address, browser, and time of visit.
How we use it
We use what you enter to run the playbook you asked for:
- To work out which tasks apply to an estate, show the deadlines that follow from your answers, and keep your progress.
- To keep your account working: sign you in, verify your email, and send the account emails you ask for, such as a password reset.
- To support you: answer your questions and fix problems.
- To run the business: see which parts of the series are used, keep the service secure, and meet our own legal and tax duties.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand the facts you enter about an estate to advertisers or data brokers. We do not use an estate you enter to advertise to you.
The series is self-help software. It is not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship with BNX Technologies LLC or anyone else.
Who can see it
Your estates and documents are tied to your account. Another signed-in user cannot open them.
Beyond that, we share information only with:
- Service providers who run the platform for us, such as hosting, database, email delivery, and payments, each limited to the piece they handle and bound to keep it confidential.
- Our own administrators, who can reach stored data to run and support the service.
- Authorities, where a court order, subpoena, or law compels us, or where we must act to prevent harm or fraud.
- A successor, if the business is sold or merged, in which case your information may transfer under this same policy.
Cookies and sign-in
We use as few cookies and browser storage values as the app can run on: a session token that keeps you signed in, and settings that hold your place in the app. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking cookie on the site or in the app. If your browser blocks storage, you will not be able to stay signed in.
How long we keep it
Your account and the estates in it stay while your account is open. Delete an estate and its answers, tasks, and notes go with it. Close your account and we remove your data, apart from what we must keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons: billing records, for example, for as long as the law requires them.
How we protect it
Data travels encrypted and sits in access-controlled storage, and only the people who need it to run the service can reach it.
No system is perfect. If you ever see something that looks wrong, write to admin@bnx-nextgen.com and we will look into it.
Your choices and rights
You can see and correct the answers you entered at any time in the app, and you can delete an estate from it. For anything else, a copy of your data, a correction, or closing your account, email admin@bnx-nextgen.com and we will act within the time the law allows.
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, or Utah, you may have the right to know what we hold, to correct or delete it, to receive a portable copy, and to opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
The series is built for adults settling an estate or planning their own. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date, and email account holders when the change is significant.
